Lake Thunderhead, started in the 1970’s is, a private 1050-acre recreational lake located 3 miles North of Unionville,MO. Lake Thunderhear has approximately 250 homes have been constructed on the 500 lots developed along the 34-mile shoreline. The lake offers many recreational opportunities such as water sports, swimming, and fishing. Two swimming beaches and campgrounds are available, as well as a nine-hole sand green golf course and two tennis courts. There are many community events throughout the year.
