Lauren Aurelius
Lauren was born and raised in Ellison Bay, and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a journalism degree. After graduation, she obtained a teaching certificate from UW-Milwaukee and went on to teach third grade for a number of years. In 2014, she returned home to Door County to live and raise her family.
After working for many years in the service industry, she recently decided to pursue a career in real estate. Lauren obtained her Wisconsin Real Estate License in April of 2018, and joined Professional Realty of Door County shortly thereafter. She is looking forward to helping both residents and visitors find their Door County dream home!
In her free time, Lauren enjoys being at the beach, traveling, hiking and cooking. She lives in Sister Bay with her family.
Sue Daubner
Solbjorg (Sue) Daubner moved to Door County in 1976 from Wheaton, IL. She and her husband David, a Door County native, opened the Sister Bay Café in 1994 and truly enjoyed meeting, greeting and feeding the many locals and visitors in Door County. After 18 years, they decided to retire and, like most retirees in Door County, started new jobs! Signing on with Professional Realty was not too much of a stretch for Sue, as she had worked with Carolyn Hitzeman in real estate before opening the Café. Sue enjoys her Norwegian heritage with rosemaling (Norwegian folk painting), Hardanger (embroidery) and acrylic painting. A highlight of her life was conducting the Peninsula Music Festival on opening night in 2004. Stop in and ask her about it! She'll be glad to give you the details. Sue is also a member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church and has served on their council, sings in the choir and plays in the bell choir.
Sue and David live in Northern Door. Daughter Lisa and her husband Ron MacDonald, along with their children Lena and Connor, own and work at the Northern Grill in Sister Bay. Daughter Maia Michalsen and her daughter Hanna also live in Sister Bay. Maia is a massage therapist and Hanna an equestrian. Son Eric and his wife Ann live in North Aurora, Illinois. Eric is a computer whiz and Ann is, among other vocations, a lawyer and was a roller derby queen. Their beautiful baby girl Grace, along with her cousins, are all above average!
Holly Thomas - Broker
Holly Thomas grew up in Door County since the age of 3 – almost a native! She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Olaf College, Northfield, MN. After living in Minneapolis and working in management for a large corporation, she made the decision to move home, back to Door County.
Her first job back in Sister Bay, was working at a local building supply center. She started out in counter sales and filing, then worked as a merchandiser and ending as a kitchen and bath designer. “My background in the building industry was a great segway for my career in real estate. I got to see how houses were built from start to finish and what products and materials were being used.”
Holly earned her Real Estate license in 2005 and broker’s license 2008. After growing up in the business, with her mother being a successful Broker, it just seemed like a natural fit. She has earned her Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI), the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and the Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) designations. She is currently a Director on the Door County Board of Realtors. Holly also serves on the Sister Bay Economic Development Committee and was a Council member at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church.
Thomas lives in Sister Bay with her husband Joel, who builds custom furniture, and their son Payton and daughter Kenzie. When not working, Holly enjoys cooking, golfing, boating and spending time with family.
“I could not think of a better place to live and raise our family. We are surrounded by friends and family and are part of a community. I love being able to help people find and sell their dream piece of Door County – whether it be a first time home buyer, the casual vacationer, the retiree or the investor. It is so rewarding to see people truly excited about owning in Door County.”
