Bill started his full time real estate career in real estate in 1983 with a prestigious firm in Accomac, and became a broker in 1987, founding Parr properties in 1989. His passion for working with big farms and estates has resulted in some of the largest land sales in the region, as well as a significant number of which became important conservation holdings. These include adding over 800 acres to the National Wildlife Refuge System, and the original land sale for the establishment of Kiptopeke Beach State Park in 1992. Bill's expertise in land use and development serves both the development and the conservation communities equally. "I've sold remote natural area islands over a thousand acres in size, which is about the most challenging environment a realtor can encounter – using everything from helicopters to airboats to conclude complex waterfront land transactions"
"Parr Properties was founded on the fundamental principles of integrity; value added professional service, and a commitment to excellence. It's been an honor to be a trusted source for property owners to rely on us as a critical resource in making important decisions" said Parr. These principles have guided the growth of Parr Properties as a leader in the Eastern Shore Real Estate industry, while maintaining a small and dedicated staff of some of the best people in the business.
The Eastern Shore is a place rich in history, with numerous important historical homes and sites that require special attention in the marketing process, and we have the experience to insure that those details don't get lost in the process. We have represented buyers and sellers of fine homes and waterfront properties from the Maryland line to the southern tip of the peninsula, we cover over 900 linear miles of salt water shoreline in our market area, and I believe that we know the waters very well.
Bill believes in serving his industry and his community. He served as a local board president in 1992 and again in 2010, and has served on the board of directors of the State association and its commercial council as a Chairman. He has been active in public debate over local land use regulation as well as state and national laws. In 2011 He served as the chairman of the Northampton County Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee to formulate important Economic Development plans, and in 2013 Served as the Chairman of the Governors subcommittee on Entrepreneurship and Innovation for the Virginia Rural Jobs Council, and is the 2013 chairman of the Joint Industrial Development Authority of Northampton County and all of its Incorporated towns.
Bill is a "Seasider", who lives in the village of Seaview on Mockhorn Bay overlooking the barrier islands - and has a passion for boating and exploring the numerous waterways of the Eastern Shore.
Our dedicated staff is ready to serve your family, whether it's time to sell, or time to buy. When you need more than a real estate agent, when you need a true professional dedicated to assisting you in achieving your real estate goals, we stand ready to serve.
