The 2022–2023 General Update (GENUP) course is a 4-hour course written by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. This course must be completed by all non-BIC or non-BIC-eligible North Carolina real estate licensees who wish to renew their licenses for the 2022–2023 license year and provides 4 of the 8 hours of continuing education required each year.
