Webinar: Contract Changes as of 07.01.23 Regarding Sales to Foreign Buyers

• Expect revisions to Florida Realtors’ Contracts for Sale and Purchase to be published July 1 due to a new Florida law which impacts the sale of certain properties to foreign buyers.
• Expect a revision to the Florida Realtors Contracts for Sale and Purchase. Essentially the revision informs the parties that a new Florida law regulates, limits or prohibits the sale of certain Florida properties to buyers associated with 7 countries, namely:  the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Cuba, the Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro, or the Syrian Arab Republic. In addition, the revision includes notice to buyers that they will be required to sign an affidavit at time of purchase verifying buyers are not prohibited from purchasing the property.
