Join us for the CVAR June Luncheon at Lake Hickory Country Club on August 9th, 2023 beginning at 11:30.
Guest meals are $20. Also, please note that if you register and do not show or cancel prior to the day of the luncheon, you will be charged $30.
The menu will be:
- Salad Bar Buffet with a variety of proteins and topping choices
- Tea, Water & Coffee
Guest speaker will be Dr. Lawrence Yun, NAR Chief Economist. Dr. Yun will deliver, via Zoom, an in-depth look at the Catawba Valley area market!
The Community Service Committee is having a Donation Drive for Classroom Connections.
Classroom Connections, a 501-(c)3 organization, “The Teachers’ Resource” is a FREE shopping store for local educators. Classroom Connections was founded in 2014, initially served only Catawba County Schools, but now serves all public K-12 educational efforts in the following counties: Alexander, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Iredell and Lincoln. These Public educators are invited shop to to provide school supplies for classrooms and students who need them.
Teachers at schools with high percentages of free and reduced lunch students can shop once a quarter for at least 25 different categories of school supplies.
Donations can be brought to the CVAR Luncheon or dropped off to the CVAR office before August 8th.
