You’re under contract, now what? This first phase of a contract establishes for both
the buyer and seller the confirmed condition of the property and expectations of both
parties through due diligence, inspections and negotiations. Agents must
understand the importance of this initial phase of the life of the contract and how to
work with both buyers and sellers so they are fully informed as they decide whether to
continue to the closing table or terminate. This is where buyers must learn everything
they can about the property and sellers must allow access, affirm their disclosures and
expect potential repair requests or concessions. This course navigates various
scenarios that can arise during this period and how to best serve clients on either side
of the contract.
