Matt is a native of Dublin, and a graduate of Dublin High School and Presbyterian College. He and his wife, Kim, are local business owners of Plum Alley, the local Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs franchise. They have two daughters, Emily and Camille. Matt is very involved with his community having served or currently serving on boards for: Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Laurens County, Heart of Georgia United Way, Communities in Schools of Laurens County, Dublin City Council, Downtown Development Authority, and Dublin-Laurens Co. St. Patrick’s Festival, and is Chairman of the Theatre Dublin Nutcracker. He was also a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2000, and a current member of the Dublin Rotary Club.

Matt was elected as the State Representative for House 150 in November 2010, and currently serves as the Chairman of the House Majority Caucus.

Joe was born in Michigan and received a B.S from Michigan State University in 1970. After receiving his degree, he moved to Georgia “ASAP” and has made Dublin his home since then. Licensed in real estate since 1988, Joe has earned many achievements.
